The 7th NJ Field Music is our impression of a Civil War Fife and Drum Corps
that would accompany an infantry regiment. We are currently made up of members
ranging in age from 11 years old and up, with a number of members
being veteran reenactors. The majority of our membership is also part of the
Westfield NJ Fife and Drum Corps based in Westfield NJ.

We have openings for membership for those who are interested in reliving
the life of a Civil War musician. Our requirements are simple: you must
be in good physical condition, you must love history, and you must be able to play
or willing to learn to play a period musical instrument such as snare drum, fife,
or bass drum.

For those not experienced with musical instruments, lessons can
be arranged. Minors under the age of 16 must have a participating adult within
our organization. All new members must be approved by teh infantry commander, principal
musician, and music coordinator before being allowed to participate during live
reenactments.
